NOVEMBER VERRAZANO 10-13 MEETING
The November 2004 General Membership Meeting of the NYC Verrazano 10-13 Association
was held in the US Marine Corps League Hall. The Hall was filled with members who shared an early Thanksgiving Dinner of turkey, stuffing, and all the trimmings. The Board of Officers took the
opportunity to thank those who have contributed to the goals of the Association during the year of 2004.
The Association has long recognized the vital contributions of the Police Relief Fund, Emergency Medical Unit. The Director of that Unit, Tom M. Deger, the Commanding Officer, Sgt Gerard Cooke, Dr. Vincent Politi, MD, Medical Director, and PO Hani Kutteh and
PO Robert Grogan were invited to dine with us and to receive recognition. The annual Golf Outing that was held at Bunker Hill Golf Course on June 14, 2004 enabled the Association to present the Police Relief Fund with a check for $2,500.00. The Director Tom M. Deger
was presented with the check and addressed the membership. Mr. Deger told us of how important such support was for the continued success of the Unit. All active and retired members as
well as their families benefit by the services rendered by this fine unit. The Commanding Officer, Sergeant Gerard Cooke
also expressed his appreciation for the support.
The Board of Officers recognized the members of the Golf Committee, VP Richie Commesso, Jack Hellman, and Ed Reuss
