" GOOD GUYS WEAR WHITE HATS "

The NYC Verrazano 10-13 Association, in alliance with the two other major metropolitan area 10-13 Associations, belonging to the National NYCPD 10-13 Organizations, Inc. traveled to the State Legislative Building, to lobby lawmakers at their home offices.
The group of nearly ninety (90 ) members, combined to be the largest contingent of Police Retiree Representatives; to report to the State Capitol, participating in the Alliance of Public Retiree Organizations of N.Y.S. ( APRO )

Donning their white " National 10-13 " hats, provided to them by their ' parent ' organization, the attendees were addressed by; President of The Alliance, Mr. Ed Curran , Alliance Secretary, and National NYCPD 10-13 Orgs. President, Tony Perrone, and N.Y. State Senator Marty Golden ( who is also a retired N.Y.P.D. officer )

The rookie ' Lobbyists ' did an outstanding job of hitting every floor in the building, and delivering " Memorandums of Support " for the Legislative Bills which we want passed; for the benefit of NYPD Retirees; to all 211 Legislators.

L to R: Tom Sullivan, Bob Kohlberger, Joe Manfra, Don Vinci, Frank Rapacciulo, and NJ Shore 10-13 President John Zanetti

I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to report to the State Capitol, and participate in this very important event. When you hear the leadership of the 10-13s of America describe our Organization as a small, insignificant, disgruntled group of Police Retirees who misrepresent themselves, and dupe people; remember, and remind anyone who questions you, that although our " National " may not have as many members, we have the largest amount of individual dues paying members, our finances are an open book, and we have the best reputation and influence in the State, and City, of New York.

Thank you again for your continued support, and hope to see you at the National Convention, July 30th to August 1st; at the Friar Tuck Resort . For information and reservations, please call ( 518 ) 945 - 1749.
